02FA4: Progress From Home

Saturday - Nanyang Chicken Rice

The Geeky Guide now has 150 board game reviews, and I also finished my planned long-form article about a For All Mankind-themed game night. It took me a better part of the night to finalize the article, then I worked on more game reviews before going to bed, and as the first thing I addressed after waking up. It feels good to have all that out there, but I still have a long way to go before the site is performing at the level I need it to.

Tobie and I took a walk earlier tonight, and we ended up brainstorming ideas for future articles for me to write. I don't want to only write lists of games for themed game nights, but I still want to craft content that will link to multiple game reviews in order to provide greater utility. I think the next one I want to write will focus on the Forbidden family of Matt Leacock games, so that should be fun. In preparation, I'll need to flesh out my reviews for all the other Leacock cooperative games on the site so they're available for referencing.

In terms of the other items on yesterday's to-do list, I did, in fact, assemble my Lego Project Hail Mary set after finishing last night's blog post. Today, we headed to SM BF and resolved getting my updated SM Advantage card. I also tested out the new SMAC & Shop app, which includes the option to present a digital version of my card either as a QR code or as a barcode, which is pretty cool.

We also (finally) finished the last season of The Crown and had the new War Machine Netflix movie playing in the background while we did other things.

That just leaves working on O Bar videos for later tonight. We're first going to have a late dinner, then maybe learn to play 1 or 2 new board games, and finally, I'll get back to my O Bar queue.

Have a good Saturday, everyone.
