I cleared my two biggest reports today, which is quite the relief. I still have two others due tomorrow, but the rest should be able to wait for next week. It was more important to get the time-sensitive ones out of the way first.
After work today, I managed to blitz the implementation of the idea I had for handling smaller promo content for my board game reviews. Instead of dedicating a full page to like a single promo card, I now have one-sentence reviews embedded at the bottom of the base game's review page instead. There's no point in trying to write an SEO-compliant 300+ word review of a smaller piece of game content after all. And this way, it still adds some value to the site, even if it's a rather small addition. Figuring out how to segment my Airtable data into an entirely separate Promos CMs collection took a little experimentation on the backend. But hey, it's working! I've only tagged 13 items as promos for Dune: Imperium, Mythwind, and Terraforming Mars, so at least there's some new content on the site today. I'll try catch up on adding new content over the weekend.
In related news, it seems that the Geeky Guide is partially indexed on Google already. It's a little confusing since I have site-level and domain-level reports in Search Console. The domain reports still show that the Google index is out-of-date, but the site-level report is showing that the main pages have been confirmed as indexed. But when I check Google Search, it's showing the right favicon and title, at least, but it still hasn't picked up my official SEO description. It's weird, but at least the start should start to gain a little traction at this point as the index gets properly updated.
I can properly feel the weekend coming now. Whew.
