I have a new Geeky Guide post is up - this one is a lengthy post about different games that celebrate particular cultural or nuanced experiences. My focus naturally leaned towards regional games, which made it a good supporting piece for the upcoming Asian Board Games Festival in May, the first one to be held in the Philippines. I keep stressing over writing these longer articles, but it ends up being quite enjoyable once I'm in the middle of things. And my word count had steadily been increasing across articles, so go figure.
Last night's game night was quite fun. We played a good roster of games, including two rounds of Clank!, a first game of Rainforest City,
the Villains variant of Legendary, and finally A Place for All May Books. It was a nice opportunity to bring some older games back into circulation, and test other games for the first time. I'm glad our friend was game to try everything, as he's still newer to gaming.
That left us limited time at the Sietch this afternoon before we needed to make our way to Boni for our big FGTC game night. I managed one quick load of laundry that completely dried before we left and we squeezed in one more episode of Love Next Door, which I'm hoping to finish before my flight on Tuesday.
I'll go over all the games we'll play in tonight's game night in tomorrow's blog post, probably. We have a full evening of gaming ahead of ourselves.
