02F9A: Mid-Week Rundown

Wednesday - Tahanan Lunch

Today marks the 40th anniversary of the Edsa People Power Revolution. The day has never been formalized as a regular holiday, and recent administrations have refrained from declaring it a special holiday of any sort. We still have a Marcos in power, which is always weird given the revolution was all about getting the Marcoses out of power. But given that Sarah Duterte is still our Vice President, regime changes not also feels unlikely but also quite unpalatable. There are still a lot of the same injustices that we need to continue to fight against, but it also feels like many have either forgotten or never learned the lessons of EDSA.

Work has been keeping me extra busy this week since I'm also covering for a colleague who is on leave. My notifications are practically non-stop during work hours as I do my best to keep pace with the tasks asking needing my attention.

In other news, the older laptop that I've been using continues to act out at random. Particular keys of the built-in keyboard appear to get stuck and send endless input to the computer, which is strange since I'm using an external keyboard to type. I've been trying to find a way to disable the keyboard for now so it stops sending conflicting input data, but no dice so far. The only solution is to repeatedly tap the faulty key on the laptop until it becomes unstuck.

I'm still waiting for the Geeky Guide to get properly crawled by Google and other search engines. AdSense still won't approve the site for ads, since it still reads the content as being thin. Things may get better once the site gets crawled, but for now, I'm already mapping out longer form content that'll link to multiple game reviews at the same time to generate more internal value or whatever.  I just need to find the time to actually write stuff.

I'm still stuck at around 75 board game reviews posted on the site. I'm trying to add more reviews, but since this content is somewhat thinner, I know I can't dedicate all my efforts here.
