02F72: Gaming Relief

Friday - SETI Board Game

So work was pretty consistent all week - a lot of number crunching and adjusting plans and making new projections. It's the nature of ad work, so I all that was coupled with the rather detailed work of getting campaigns set up, revolving ad errors, and all that fun stuff. I also have some HR items that I haven't quite resolved, but internal deadlines tend to take a backseat versus client stuff.

I was very much tapped out (again) by end of the day, so I honestly think I need to squeeze in some work this weekend just to make up for the stuff I wasn't able to resolve today.

Consolation, a friend is here again for a game night and we had a firm commitment to play SETI with the new Space Agencies expansion before anything else. The new Organizations add a nice asymmetric play element similar to what Expedition Leaders did for Lost Ruins of Arnak and it makes for a richer play experience. I wish I had drawn more interesting organizations though at the start of our game as most of my SETI games feel very focused on probes and I'm playing the probes-focused organization.

He can't stay too long, so we'll be limited to shorter games once we finish this one. But I'm still glad we some gaming in tonight. Tomorrow is Manza's birthday show at O Bar and Sunday is a free day so far. Maybe I'll clear my work stuff then.
