As is the case with any long weekend, today's workday involved a lot of catch-up activities in order to make up for the lost time. A lot of my recent work has been media-focused, but I also have an interview today and some other HR-related tasks. It was a full day, including an after-hours enquiry, but it could have been a lot crazier for sure.
On the TikTok front, I've only just realized that CapCut also has the AI-enabled "AutoCut" feature, which opens some new doors for me, content-wise. It's able to quickly break a video down into clips and apply it to templates, which has resulted in a new way for me to make use of my videos. I'm still trying to figure out how I might be able to make good use of this, but the low-hanging fruit is creating vertical previews of some of the more robust performance videos, then posting those on IG stories or something with a link back to the main YouTube video. I haven't quite figured out how to counter what clips AutoCut chooses (if that's even possible), but it does make for great low-effort content that's more dynamic than just re-using my static images.
As of this writing, Tobie has already needed to go to bed since he had woken up earlier than me, so I'm exploring weird TV shows I wouldn't normally watch with him. Last night, I ended up re-watching the first season of Gameboys and I still love that show to bits. I just wish that the second season was more accessible since I've only gotten to see that once (or was that the movie?)
Tonight, I'm trying a weird Japanese series called Love is Poison that's a little harder to appreciate. Maybe it's a cultural thing or it's just hard to get behind a lawyer and a con artists contrived top become romantically involved at some point, but we'll see how this plays out.
Anyway, I'm going to work on more O Bar videos now, and maybe run a few more CapCut experiments.
