Today was rather rainy - not full-on stormy, but still a lot of rain. At least it wasn't strong rain, but it also didn't want to stop for most of the day. At least we had no plans to leave the Sietch today, save for Tobie making a food run for lunch, as we figured that food delivery services would be quite impaired by the weather.
Our K-Drama blitz efforts continue well, and we've managed to finish The Secret Garden. That drama hasn't aged very well, but it had its fun moments. But it also felt like it didn't need to be 20 episodes long - good editing would have brought things down to maybe 16 (or even 13!) episodes with a tighter story and maybe a better ending. We're also nearly done with the first season of The Fiery Priest and should wrap things up early next week.
Given that, I've slotted in Don't Dare to Dream (also known as Jealousy Incarnate) as another active drama we'll try to rush through before 14 October. We haven't really heard anything about this show, but I saw it has Cho Jung-seok, and we enjoyed his performance in Hospital Playlist. The premise of the show is pretty weird, but we'll see how things unfold.
The bulk of our weekend will have both me and Tobie busy with Komiket over at SM Megamall. We're pretty used to running a booth ("boothing"), so I'm not very concerned about that. But what I am feeling some anticipatory FOMO-ness is the fact that Tobie will have a panel reading, and I don't know how I'll be able to record the session or even just watch it. We'll probably need to leave the booth during the session, which isn't atypical, I suppose.
Anyway, we'll see how things go! It'll be nice to see some familiar faces at the event, but it's also a busy time as the year draws to a close. I'm also looking forward to chatting with the other creators at the event. Our increased convention participation this year has helped us forge new friendships with fellow exhibitors who join the different Komiket events.
So yeah, we have to turn in a little earlier tonight. We have an early start to the day tomorrow.
