Work today felt better than yesterday. There was still a lot to do, but we all got a lot of things done, and this time I made sure everything was covered. That's enough of a win for today. We see what tomorrow brings.
The girls finally managed to read my blog post from the other day and had rather nice things to say. I know I'm a little weird that I continue to blog regularly in this age of short-form content being king, but it's a medium that works for me. And as much as I take all these pictures and videos at O Bar, it feels different to also write about our different O Bar experiences as well. With all the love we have for the people who make the bar happen, it feels right to use some of my propensity for words to help celebrate them in a way that is uniquely me.
I really should get back to writing more O Bar-related features either on the Geeky Guide or over on Baduy Pride. We're long overdue for another "Know Your O Divas" series or something. Plus, it's O Bar's 20th year - so that has to count for something, right?
In fact, with tomorrow being the start of October and the last quarter of the year, Tobie and I are already trying to map out what to give the O Bar folks for Christmas. Last year's gifts were pretty fun to shop for, and I'm hoping this year feels just as meaningful - or maybe more so. We have some initial ideas, as usual, but things aren't quite locked in. If you have suggestions you'd like to throw our way, just let us know! As always, it's not about giving the most expensive gifts, but more about the most meaningful or somehow useful gift. That doesn't sound very flashy, I know, but it's how I like to give gifts.
We try to settle everything by 11.11 so we can make the most of that mega-sale, as ordering during 12.12 is a little too late for our goals. That's just over a month away, and we all know how quickly time can fly by before you realize it.
