02F05: Mixed Monday

Friday - Tobie Pork Chops

Tobie cooked dinner today, and it was a nice change of pace. He's still getting used to the induction burner, as he had ended up specializing in roasting meals when we were still based in BGC. We have very different cooking profiles. I tend to make more one-post meals, like soups and whatever you can call my cabbage things. Tobie still prepares dinner with multiple elements - a protein, some eggs, and a salad. And our different approaches help to round out meals at the Sietch and help to keep things interesting. We have to work together to cut down on food deliveries! haha

There was a lot of stuff going on at work today, and I thought I had cleared everything from my to-do list. But an email came in while I was composing this blog post, and I'll need to re-evaluate my day. It's always one thing or another. But we roll with the things life throws our way, yeah? We all just have to do better tomorrow.

Our efforts to blitz through Secret Garden and The Fiery Priest before they leave Netflix seem to be going well. We're about halfway through both shows, and we might actually have time to rush one or two more shows that are leaving the platform in October. I think there's enough time for Don't Dare to Dream (which is only interesting because of a Hospital Playlist guy), but maybe we can still consider Cleaning Up. Dr. Romantic may be a more realistic goal since it's leaving Netflix in the second half of the month.
