02F02: Friday Blitzing

Friday - Chicken Poppers & Cabbage

My workday ended with a client approving a rather large media plan I had put together. I really should have tried to get that out sooner, so I wouldn't be stuck with implementing the plan I had assembled, but that's how things work out. I cleared the first batch of campaigns by 07:30pm, then I took a break to cook dinner and eat with Tobie. Right after, I dove back into work to finish the rest of the campaigns, and I finished close to 11:00pm. It's nice to have gotten everything out of the way, but I know that I'll need to go over everything with fresh eyes either tomorrow or, at the latest, Monday. Mistakes in media work can lead to rather expensive consequences after all.

I'm just glad I got all that squared away. Hello weekend.

We were supposed to have a friend over for board games, but we had cancelled those plans earlier today because we were worried about the rain. And while there are reports of rain in other parts of Metro Manila, it has actually been quite quiet here at the Sietch with only the occasional stronger (but not overly strong) gusts of wind. I think it rained a bit just now, but nothing like the crazier weather we've been having throughout the week.

In other news, the sharing of a silly video has resulted in a potential Halloween costume among our circle of O Bar friends. It's...quite outside my comfort zone, but I think I'm going to give in to the peer pressure and potentially commit to this. We need to assemble the different parts of the costumes in time for O Bar's Liberation Halloween event at the end of October. If anything, it'll be very memorable for us and any other O Bar friends who see us that night. Let's see how the next few weeks pan out. Wish me luck...and maybe some extra nerve and willpower.

Finally, we've suspended our usual one K-Drama episode a day practice in order to tackle two different shows before they leave Netflix. These are the classic Secret Garden and the very odd The Fiery Priest. Both have strong comedic undertones, but with very different themes. Secret Garden is a bodyswap romance, while the Fiery Priest is all action-oriented. We're already about 7 episodes into both series as we race to go through all 20 episodes of each show before 14 October. It's going to be tight!
