Funny moment - it was only during dinner that I realized that I had forgotten to take my painkiller during lunch. I guess that says a lot about how far I've come over the past week, but more particularly after the Orthopedic doctor updated my prescription to something more tailored to my condition. I'm scheduled for a follow-up tomorrow, and I hope that he'll confirm that I'm well into the "thawing" portion of this frozen shoulder experience.
I'm able to fully bend my arm at the elbow again and I have more mobility for the upper arm as well. I can't quite get to 90 degrees yet, but it's close. It's such a relief - last week I was honestly worried that this was going to go on indefinitely, given the limited effect the initial celecoxib had on me. Now, I genuinely feel that I'll be back to normal before the month is over. I'll just need to be more careful of how I manage things to avoid a repeat incident. This includes some permanent changes to how I handle filming the performances at O Bar, but that's not unreasonable. But I feel worlds better and can even manage a more respectable height when I do the whole fingers-up-the-wall exercise. I'm also going to switch my mouse back to the right side after over a week of making the most of my left.
Work is pretty busy this week. I feel like I've only just gotten caught up from my leave last week, and then I'm going on half-day leave again tomorrow for my doctor's appointment. It's certainly an interesting time at the office as we have more changes that we need to juggle. The fun never stops, really.
I've fallen rather behind my needed reading pace because most of my current titles are a bit heavy or stories that I'm not as excitedly reading. And I'm still catching up with my O Bar video queue, especially after my frozen shoulder-related delay. Slowly but surely and all that.
