02EE9: Several Steps Forward

Monday - Mixed Sausages and Cabbage

I actually got to cook dinner today. While I still can't lift my upper arm to a satisfactory level, I am able to bend my elbow again and raise my forearm to a satisfactory level. Thus, I'm back to eating food with the aid of two utensils and even composing this blog post with both hands. I'm still keeping my mouse on the left side for now - being able to move doesn't mean I'm capable of moving without pain. But this is tremendously better than where I was last week.

I am going to test not applying another Locoa patch today, as my prescription technically calls for 5 days and not a full week. I know I can't rely on painkillers indefinitely, so we might as well start weaning off. I've been able to sleep lying down and without the aid of a sling, so I'm rather optimistic about my progress. Please keep rooting for me all the same - I can use every bit of luck that I can get.

The weather remains quite gloomy, so it's another no-laundry day. We still have clothes, but we're also still a bit backed up, and that annoys me to no end. And it doesn't look like things are going to get better any time soon. I've at least been amusing myself with the Maglalaba Ba? site as supporting information to help me decide if I'll push through with laundry for the day. It's the little things.

Beyond that, we're steadily working through I Am Not a Robot, and it's actually not that bad. There are some interesting bits, although these last few episodes definitely feel like they're stretching things a bit. I just want to get to the happy ending part at this point, and watching two episodes back-to-back still hasn't resolved that "problem" for us.

We're ending the night with Thursday Murder Club. I do love a good mystery.
