It's a Philippine holiday, but not a Singapore holiday, so you know the drill. Funnily. Tobie and I still generally slept on time and still woke up following regular working hours - in the past, Tobie has tried staying up to work on his comic or opted to sleep in the day itself. But no complaints on my end, as today felt like a rather productive workday. I have no one to share my work-nerdy joy with about the progress I'm making with one of the tools we use. As much as we already utilise particular functions of the platform, a lot of it remains untapped. And I rather feel like I made some serious progress with making more of the platform usable this week - especially given today's efforts. Yay me.
In other news, Wendy's has a Buy 1 Take 1 promo for their new Double Bacon Mushroom Melt burger. With Tobie still in an online RPG one-shot and me finishing work, we figured we might as well try. I was initially worried that the discount wasn't going to work in Foodpanda, but I did see the discounted rate on the final checkout page. The real problem was the fact that we received regular single-patty burgers instead of the promotional double item. I'm not sure how the branch could have made this mistake, given it's a big one-day promo for today, so I imagine that they've been getting a LOT of orders for the exact same item. Foodpanda support was helpful enough, as their only recourse for any order errors is to provide a refund. So even though we didn't get the special item in question, at least we got free burgers.
Beyond that, the streak of sunny mornings has broken as it was quite overcast for most of the day. I have been steadily chipping away at our laundry queue, given the trip last week and the rains before and after, so at least I cleared the priority stuff from Monday to Wednesday. I'm still behind pace by at least a load or two, and maybe the weather will be better tomorrow or something. I just need a few decent hours of sun to get another batch washed, then I can rest a bit over the weekend.
