I'm back home after a fairly uneventful travel day. Then again, flying from Singapore to Manila is always like a million times easier than going the other way. And I will concede that the arrival process at NAIA Terminal 3 seems to be getting incrementally better like how there are all these silly stickers trying to direct locals to the egates for faster immigration procesing and how the baggage handlers include a few whose only job is to line the bags up neatly on their sides as opposed to letting them fall onto the conveyer belt any which way. Maybe there's hope for this new airport operator.
I knew this morning would be tough for the nephews, though, although they expressed their feelings over my leaving in very different ways. The older one was very clingy to some degree, and I got a lot of hugs and very quick responses to statements of endearment. The younger one was a bit more antagonistic towards me, with many questions about why I had to go to the airport, why I needed to go home, and so on. He actually joined the trip to bring me to the airport, and his indirect protests to my departure continued. Flying home is always bittersweet because of the family element. But at least we had a great time together.
I'm safely home now with a significant number of packages waiting for me. I had a number of Transformers and board game deliveries while I was out, and Tobie had a few of his own to boot. Our storage issues even at this new Sietch continue, and I know one big thing I can do to create some space would be to unbox the significant number of Transformers that remain in their original packaging to create some space...provided I have a waiting receptacle to transfer them to. The cycle goes on and on.
We don't have games scheduled for this first weekend home, but we do have a play tomorrow, so that's cool. I'm eager to get back into the groove of regular Sietch life, along with finding time to watch the new Fantastic Four movie as well.
It's good to be home.
