02EC5: Sunday Rhythms

Sunday - Soup Restaurant Dinner

Today as a lot slower compared to yesterday, which is just as well as that was pretty draining. There was still a lot that happened, but most of it just at home.

I woke up to the nephews pretty much expecting that I was awake already. The older one entered my room first and asked where my glasses were. He made sure to put them on me even though I was still lying down, then asked "Are you ready?" That made me laugh but I explained I'd use the toilet first,  and this was an acceptable answer to himself. When I got out of the bathroom, the younger one was on my bed. He asked if I still needed to get changed, otherwise he was leading me downstairs. These boys.

We did step out to visit today's Hair for Hope activity at Vivo City as our agency has been working on this campaign and a member of the team had signed up to be shaved. It was an interesting activity to witness in person - something you'll never quite understand from just reading the briefs we get via email and such. I'm glad we made it on time - a lot of us were present and we made sure to cheer as the shaving process was completed.

The rest of the day was spent managing all the kids in the house. Such things have their inevitable ups and downs because kids will be kids and boys will be boys. But there are a lot of us taking turns supervising them when we can, so that helps distribute the load, as it were.

In fact, I was able to finish the first book of Red Rising and I'm well into book 2. The first one felt too much like The Hunger Games, but this second one is starting to shape up to be quite interesting. Maybe there's hope for the rest of this series.

Beyond that, I have one more workweek in Singapore, then I fly back on Saturday.
