The weather-related news back home is quite troubling on a number of levels. Tobie and the family at home are safe, but so many other people have been significantly affected by Metro Manila's poor infrastructure. And it's not like there's an active typhoon in the country - we're just dealing with the rains the last typhoon dragged along in its wake. It's frustrating that the metropolis is unable to handle sustained rains of any kind without some degree of flooding.
And in full contrast, it has been quite sunny here in Singapore, and I can't really complain. I even got to go to the nearby park with my nephew after work because the weather has been quite steady since I arrived.
It has been quite the busy day as me being in town means conducting interviews in person and even being available for meetings. I have an in-person client meeting tomorrow - and I can't remember my last meeting like this. And I've been told that the team here hopes to take updated headshots next week - and I didn't bring anything particularly fancy to wear, haha! Such fun.
Otherwise, things are good so far. And I'm having a lot of fun with the nephews. It means needing to help the older one figure out My Singing Monsters while the younger one keeps putting different Transformers (or transforming robots) in my head and asking me to transform it from vehicle to robot and back again. I suppose those items are easier to appreciate versus being asked to go to the park...to look for mice. It's a story.
Stay dry back home, everyone. I hope things get better soonest.
