Despite the weather, last night's gaming was pretty great. We gathered a good number of friends despite the weather, and no one got overly drenched whether coming or going. We also played a pretty solid number of games, including Barbecubes, SETI, Istanbul, Moon, Flip 7, Incan Gold, Earth: Abundance, Catch Sketch, and finally Kavango. A very diverse mix of games, plus we got to move some new titles that we haven't gotten to the table yet.
Today, we slept in a bit to catch up on sleep as we only had our Horror on the Orient Express game to worry about for the afternoon. I also forced a few last loads of laundry as part of my pre-flight considerations. I had held off the last few days because of the weather in the hopes that things would get better, but that hasn't been the case. Today was my last chance to wash stuff, so I had no choice but to use the dryer. Even then, clothes don't come out fully dry and are instead "closet dry", so I still have stuff laid out around the Sietch for a last bit of drying.
I've settled all my travel documents for tomorrow, and I've saved offline copies of everything that I need on my phone. I've largely completed packing, save for a few last things I'm hoping to add from the last loads of laundry. So yeah, I guess I'm just about ready for my trip tomorrow.
Cue my inevitable FOMO for anything that is about to happen while away, especially in terms of O Bar. It's a 2-week work/family trip, which means it's only 2 weeks, but it's also two full weeks. Time is a funny thing depending on your perspective.
