02EAE: Friday Preparations

Friday - J.Co Donuts

We're staying in tonight and can't stay up too late since we'll be at PICOF tomorrow morning for Tobie's Diliman Generation Now comic. The full story isn't finished yet, but we'll be there all weekend to promote his work and hopefully get more readers on board. Tobie has also prepared two mini-comics to sell at the event - they look great and present some quite literally bite-sized horror.

As of tonight, I've finally gotten Scarface 1920 with the Blood Business expansion (and additional content) generally sorted into the base game box and the dedicated Expansions box. It doesn't feel as efficient as it could be, but it's a workable solution for the most part. But it still means lugging around two large cube-shaped boxes in order to play the game outside the Sietch. This is a "problem" for many of our games these days, as more deluxe editions and all-in-one storage solutions come out. Such is the nature of this hobby, I suppose.

We're past the halfway point for Reply 1988, and it's proving to be quite an enjoyable K-Drama. It doesn't have a whirlwind romance at the core of it. Instead, it's a rather charming slice-of-life series that ties together many different character stories and builds a larger narrative around it. The strong 80's nostalgia doesn't hurt either. It'll be at least another week or so before we finish this show, and I'm pretty curious to see how things will pan out in the end.

Beyond that, our less involved TV-watching has been a lot of Taskmaster. We've gotten as far as Series 5 (and are generally up-to-date with Series 19), and it's just so good.

Anyway, I hope to see some familiar faces at PICOF this weekend. It's at SM Megamall, so go check it out!
