We're back home at the Sietch after the second full day at PICOF. We were sort of expecting more people today versus Sunday, but actually it was the opposite. I wonder if that means we should have expected even more people on the first day, had the weather not been so terrible. There were still a good number of people at the event today, don't get me wrong. But there was a noticeable volume difference. Tobie still had a good number of people visiting the booth, and we also got to interact with the other creators a bit more during the slower periods. This included me visiting the different booths to sign the event's anthology release as a pseudo-yearbook exercise.
More friends visited the event today as well, so we had some good bonding time amid the general inquiries about the comic. We even tried to get dinner at the newly reopened Tang in BGC, but the rain really started to come down, and we could see from the street that they had quite a queue of standing folks waiting for a table. It's the first full day since they reopened, so I guess it was to be expected.
Anyway, serious thanks to everyone who visited to support Tobie's comic book efforts starting with Diliman Generation Now and even his Tiny Terrors mini-comics.
I bought a ridiculous number of comics at PICOF, but no regrets, I've been steadily working through the different zines I had picked up, and I'll swing back for the bigger titles in the coming weeks. I've been making a serious effort to post short zine reviews on my Instagram so I can tag the creators and help to get the word out about their different releases. Stay tuned for more komik-related content on my socials!
But for now, we seriously need to catch up on rest since we have a new workweek waiting around the corner.
