So last night's game night involved two of our newest heavy games and not much else. To be fair, we had to teach both games to our two guest players, so that ate up a fair amount of time. Then the actual playtime for both games (factoring in people needing a bit more time to make decisions since they're still quite new to the rules of each game) was VERY significant, thus we only played two games in total and still ended with the sun rising.
In other words, it was a very fulfilling game night.
Despite lacking sleep, today I had to get up before noon to make my way to Makati for a company activity. It was nice to see people that we've mainly been interacting with solely online in the flesh and I think we had a pretty productive session. 3 hours is barely enough time to get a whole lot done but I suppose it was just enough for a weekend meetup without making it feel overly imposing.
Then our friends for TONIGHT'S game night coordinated so we could all head south together. You can really feel the love when friends are willing to drive south for board games.
