Happy Labor Day, everyone, and welcome to the month of May!
We've kept things pretty chill today, more or less. After Tobie's RPG session last night, we finished the third installment of The Maria Trilogy of 50 Clues, this being Keepers of Evil. This last chapter was rather disappointing since the puzzles skewed towards IQ test-style logic puzzles more than anything else, and the narrative was a little weak. This whole trilogy of games had puzzles that just felt puzzley and didn't feel like they were incorporated well with the narrative. It also didn't seem as disturbing as the prior Leopold Trilogy had, which had some rather questionable narrative challenges it put players through.
Between last night and this morning, we also got caught up on this week's installment of Andor episodes while I processed another night's worth of O Bar videos. I'm still about a week behind in terms of my queue, but I'll catch up eventually.
Finally, we had a friend over for some board games again, although time was rather limited. We at least played through Canvas, Spots, and Tzolk'in, so that's a fairly respectable line-up of games for a holiday. We'd play more, but there's still a rather busy day tomorrow as Tobie and I have his Komiket event to think about, as that will define the whole weekend. If any of you are in the area, do say hi! But be prepared for the crowd, as is the way of these things.
