02E43: Notes Before We Play a Game

Wednesday - Indian Dinner

As you can see, I still can't upload photos to Blogger. The progress bar nearly fills up and then it just gives up at the end. My Google Photos is also struggling to back up photos but sometimes manages to get some items into the cloud. Just now our photos from dinner are already online but it's still clearing stuff from the weekend. It's weird - and I haven't gotten a decent answer on the help forums thus far.

My work today wasn't as report-heavy - I think we've finally cleared the last of the load for the month. But I did have to participate in a client WIP to discuss one of those reports, but that's fine. I have some other atypical tasks that I at least got to start on (but I have a long way to go), and that's a good thing. We're at the turning point of the week.

Our copy of SETI: Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence arrived today and we're quite excited to give this board game a shot. It was one of the most talked-about games in the convention circuit last year and we finally have our own copy.  Since Tobie's RPG session for the night got canceled, we'll see if we can give the game a shot before bed. We have some big plans across Thursday and Friday night, so our next window for gaming will be Saturday.

We have no shortage of games that we could try to play more. What we lack are regular players in the immediate area. I am literally trawling social media and even dating apps in the hopes of cultivating new local geek circles for ourselves to augment our game sessions with other friends who are now a bit further away.

But...it's taking a while.
