02E42: Tuesday Highlights

Tuesday - Herbal Bossam

As I compose this blog entry, I appear to be having trouble with a few different Google services. Google Photos is loading a bit slower than usual and seems to be having trouble saving new creations like animations and collages. Then here on Blogger, I can't seem to upload the header image for this post whether using PLDT or Globe, so this feels like a platform issue and not an ISP issue. I hope whatever this is gets resolved soon.

Work was okay. We're at the tailend of this month's report cycle and I think I've cleared the last of them. There are still the client meetings where we'll go through the actual reports and such, but that's not as demanding as working on the reports themselves. Just another day.

As a follow-up to our tire incident, Tobie stepped out to get a replacement for the tire that practically popped and to make sure all the other tires were okay. The assessment was that all of the tires were pretty old, so it was safer to get four new ones and then relegate the spare we used on Sunday back to being on standby. It was an unscheduled expense, but a necessary one for our safety.

For dinner, we opted to explore the BF area again as a treat to ourselves and a chance to put our new BF Homes sticker to work. We ended up trying a Korean restaurant we had driven by a few times previously. The main promise was bossam, and their take on the dish was pretty good, but not as good as Tang in BGC. There are a lot of other options to try around the area, but at least we tried something. And it was nice to get out for a bit.

Finally, we just finished Electric State as our post-dinner entertainment. I was initially excited about it when the first teasers came out. But once it actually aired and the reviews started coming up, reception seemed to be very mixed. And we're definitely in the camp of those disappointed with the actual movie, especially given the pop culture status of the source material. And it feels like even more of a waste given the rather notable cast they assembled for the production.

Anyway, back to reading.
