In board game news, yesterday Tobie managed to secure copies of Bus & Stop and 1 A.M. Jailbreak by Saashi & Saashi and the peculiar Madori-Ism Plus, which is also a small Japanese board game. Today the results of another Kickstarter finally got fulfilled - this being the Pantheon Edition of Santorini together with the new Riddle of the Sphinx expansion. This means more new games that we need to learn and figure out when we can get them to the game table with other players. My copy of Project L: Square One should have also arrived today, but that delivery still went to our old BGC condo, so it'll take a while before the local warehouse figures out how to get the game to the right place.
Speaking of gaming, I'm still hoping that we can figure out how we can game with more regularly given we're now in the South. We have a couple of friends in the general area, but of course, everyone already has different schedules. Last Saturday's game night involved someone we met in person for the first time, which is fine, but it would also be nice to have our other friends game here. BGA has been helping to bridge the gap and still gives us something to do on Friday nights, but it's not quite the same. And with all these new games at the Sietch, it would be really cool to have more regular in-person game nights again.
In other delivery news, a bunch of Transformers pre-orders I had made finally got delivered today. They had been pending with the store for a few weeks since I needed to wait for payday before I could get them all over. Too many big robots arrived at the same time and it was rather painful to deal with those purchases at the same time. But the robots are here now after a very convoluted experience with Lalamove, and I'm just glad that it worked out and I didn't have to spend like P3,000 for courier shipping via JRS or something. It still cost a bit, but we still saved more. And I recognize that my credit card is still recovering from all the moving-related expenses, which include a LOT of food deliveries and eating out while we got settled in.
One more workday for the week. Then the weekend. Then I fly to Singapore for a work trip (which is also always a family trip). I have the same expectations as I always do during times like this - I know the days are going to blitz by fast.
