02E2E: Post-Meeting Log

Wednesday - Lazy Dinner

My in-person meeting went pretty well. The taxi service we had booked showed up a little before my scheduled pick-up and was pretty decent. It was literally a taxi that picked me up and the car was clean, but a bit old. At least the AC was good. Because I hadn't commuted in the morning in years, we opted to take the Skyway despite the higher toll cost and I got there with some 15 minutes to spare. I had arranged for the same taxi service to drive me back and I ended up with the same driver. We skipped the Skyway this time - I still got home within an hour.

The meeting itself was quite productive. It feels so weird to meet with clients given most of our meetings are remote in nature. But hey, it was worth the experience. I even made sure to bring my calling cards because how often do I get to swap cards, right? I thought I wasn't going to do more than just introduce myself, but I did manage to share a few words to help the discussion along.

I got back to the Sietch just in time for lunch and straight into an interview that was back-to-back with another client meeting. It has been a busy Wednesday.

No progress with the home office today. But at least we didn't order out for dinner. Instead, I combined a mix of leftovers, ready-to-eat bangus Bicol express in a jar, and some roughly-cut lettuce as supporting greens. It wasn't the most amazing dinner, but it got the job done, I suppose. But I'm not going to buy that Bicol express thing again - it had a weird sweet edge to it that I didn't understand.

Tobie's game got cancelled but I'm still going to work on O Bar videos as originally planned. We have different plans for tomorrow, then maybe online board games on Friday provided friends are available. This feels a little thin, so we'll see what else we can wrangle for ourselves over the next few days. I do want to make the most of this coming weekend since I'm flying to Singapore on Monday night. The clock is ticking.
