Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! I hope you're having a great Friday.
To be prudent, we've stayed home to avoid all the other couples celebrating out in the world. But that's fine - we had a nice Tiong Bahru dinner with Tobie's mom and got to catch up after a rather busy two weeks. From near-daily lunch conversations, we actually hadn't seen much of one another given all the fun that comes with other family coming to visit. We're all in one compound, but we're still in separate houses, so that gives us a relative degree of autonomy and privacy from one another.
No big Valentine's Day plans for me and Tobie today, although I guess we celebrated a little early by going to O Bar last night. I didn't get to jam with the O2Men, but we did get to give some of our Valentine's Day gifts to them and the O Boys. The O Divas and others get theirs on Saturday when the group is more complete.
Instead, we're playing board games with a friend online via Board Game Arena, as an approximation of what we used to do while we were still living in BGC. It's not quite the same as playing these games in person, but it's still some good geeky fun, which totally works for a Friday night.
Maybe Tobie and I can step out tomorrow for a good lunch or something as a date for the weekend. We'll see how things go.
