02DC7: Gaming Migration

Friday - Clueframe

The deliveries continue - this morning we woke up to the post office guy arriving with our copy of  Clue Puzzle, which is another puzzle-centric game experience. This one promises more of an escape room vibe more than others, which is kind of exciting. This is a weird segment of the board game hobby that I've been happy to explore. It all started with Quezzle, which is a beautiful 4-part puzzle that combines into a larger scene with a lot of Where's Waldo-type questions but also with some MicroMacro Crime City mystery mechanics. It was followed by a space-themed sequel to the original Quezzle along with Quatro City, which is another mystery-focused game. Thus far the original Quezzle experience has been the most impactful given the beauty of the art and nature of the puzzles. Quatro City was okay but the puzzles weren't as well-done. So I'm pretty excited to see how this one will play out...provided we find the time to actually play it.

Speaking of all these deliveries, I'm still going through all of my active crowdfunding projects in an effort to update my shipping information. The move to the south is coming up fast and I figure most of these projects will ship next year. I think I've been able to update my shipping information for most, but a few have already locked the shipping address, so we'll see how that goes. There's still an opportunity to coordinate with the Gaming Library warehouse for projects that have gone through VFI Asia fulfillment. But the ones that go by regular mail...those are the ones that make me a little nervous. Most should arrive within this calendar year, I think.

Anyway, we have a big game night scheduled tomorrow, but I'm not sure if we'll be able to get any of our new games to move just yet. It'll depend on which games are easy enough to learn within the time we have, plus we have a bit of a theme for the games we want to play tomorrow. Either way, it should be fun!
