We managed to get a friend over for a couple of games last night, which helped to add a bit of variety to our Friday night. We also had to do some catching up first, so in the end, we managed to play Sea Salt & Paper, AI Space Puzzle, and Pandemic.
We were supposed to have a lunch appointment today, but we had to abort at the last minute. As that was the only item on our agenda for the day, the rest of the day has been pretty open. I at least cooked lunch instead of ordering out, so that was practical. We've been watching Love, Victor in an effort to finish the series before our current Disney+ subscription comes to an end along with episodes of The Devil's Plan and Alchemy of Souls.
As always, there was a bit of temptation to go to O Bar tonight, but again it would be too late to try to assemble friends for a table. And it's hard for us to go to O without a table...so we're just staying home tonight. So to scratch that itch, I at least processed the last of the videos from an O Bar night last month along with the photos from the last two O Bar events I got to attend last year.
After I settle this blog and maybe finish the third season of Love, Victor, we'll probably go through our ongoing campaign games, these being Batman: Everybody Lies and Imperial Settlers: Rise of the Empire. That should cover a good part of the evening and we'll see where the rest of the night goes.
I'm definitely feeling the holiday crunch slowly beginning to encroach into our social life. It's nothing malicious or inherently bad - it's just the nature of things. As any year closes, more things come up that take up everyone's time and that leaves us with more empty slots on our activity calendar. I guess I was just hoping for this to start in December maybe. This still feels a wee bit early.
