I don't have work tomorrow because of the Deepavali holiday and Tobie opted to file leave so that we both have the day off. We don't have any big plans, but it is nice that we'll have some extra time together, even if just a day. I wish I could do the same for Friday, but there's still too much going on for me to step away from work.
Despite the long weekend, we don't actually have big plans. We're not the sort of go out of town and Tobei addressed his family obligations last weekend. We at least have a friend coming over for games on Saturday, so that's something. But our Friday night and our Sunday afternoon remain empty for now. We don't even have big plans tonight, but we're bound to find something to entertain us once I settle today's blog update. Other activities like processing O Bar videos or unboxing Transformers should wait for other days when Tobie and I don't have shared free time in need of proper spending.
In other Sietch news, then new cases for my Kindle Oasis arrived today and I'm generally happy. One was a jelly-style case that just protects the back of the device, which at least allows one to shown off the aluminum body. But I opted to use the the one that includes a front cover to offer better protection plus the greater benefit of unlocking the device every time I open the case. The jelly case would force me to use the power button, which is just outside comfortable reach. Plus it's blue.
Finally, I'm still thinking about my next Alpaka purchase and waiting for my next credit card cycle is starting to feel very long. It does not help that they've just announced their 8th anniversary collection and I am irrationally tempted to get the sling and the set of patches just for the heck of it. This does not address my primary carry goals such as getting the larger Flight Sling as my travel and EDC bag and some sort of a wallet solution for Tobie.
If you encounter me asking you questions about your daily carry needs, assume that I am probably trying to get you something from Alpaka as a gift. FYI
