So the last 24 hours have been quite a blast and Tobie and I really need to head to bed soon to further catch up on sleep. But let's do the rundown!
The other day, Tobie was able to secure the items we needed for our last-minute Halloween costume - this being White Spoon and Black Spoon contestant wannabees for Culinary Class Wars. The basic level of this quickie costume was just to find a black apron and a white apron to wear over plain shirts, but Tobie managed to find himself a Chef's outfit and went a bit further. Together it was a bit clearer that we were referencing the show. When alone people just thought I was a barista. But that's fine - that's how couple's costumes work.
The O Bar Halloween show was great including some very talented guests and solid performances all around. We were with good company and got to see a number of good friends even if our core table group wasn't around for various reasons.
We couldn't quite sleep in today since Tobie had a family obligation to attend to. I got another hour of sleep then joined the family for lunch. Funnily enough, we ended up eating Singaporean food - and of course, everyone knew I had just come from a Singapore work trip. It made for an additional topic of conversation as part of an enjoyable afternoon.
We got home with time to spare before our Blood & Honor game. But even funnier, the Ninja Van courier that delivered my new Alpaka gear arrived at the condo right before us. So we got to do a quick unboxing of the Elements Tech Brief Pro that I had gotten for Tobie together with my Zip Card Pouch. I'm pretty happy with both items and I'm sure that I'm going to order more once my next credit card cycle begins - once again just to balance things out and pace my expenses. I think my excitement over Alpaka as a company is paying off given the speediness of the delivery and the quality of the items themselves.
That's all for now. We totally need to get more sleep before the new workweek begins in earnest.
