02D67: Satisfyingly Slow Sunday

Sunday - Keto Curry Puffs

Today has been a very restful day - which I suppose is a bit of a rarity in itself. Beyond getting back to Singapore from Malaysia, the day was largely invested in me reading or just spending time with the nephews. I finished two books and am on the brink of finishing a third one. I finished processing another O Bar night's worth of videos over on YouTube. And I think I had to read Chu's First Day of School at least three times because the younger nephew kept saying "Let's try again!".

I even napped. How crazy is that?

As a compromise, I just barely hit my step goal today and didn't bother with walking outside for once. A greater part of today's physical activity came from following the boys around and keeping them out of mischief - which is no small feat when you're talking about two young boys. We're at that point in my stay when they're both super comfortable with me being here to the point that it's sort of expected and I have duties I need to fulfill for them. Hence cases like needing to read a book aloud even though they just want to name other things in the pictures part from the main bits of the story.

I've lost count of the number of times we've watched both Cloud with a Chance of Meatballs movies along with The Croods over the past week or so. The new obsession is Sharkdog, which really gets them worked up so I'm undecided how I feel about this particular show. At least we get to slow things down with the occasional animal documentary, but those only last for so long.

I still have a full workweek ahead so the next few days are really going to fly by. I'm scheduled to fly home on Friday and I'm sure I'm not going to miss that flight because once is already too much. And so I know I have to make the most of this week and relish every early morning wakeup because a nephew has decided it's time for Uncle to join them for whatever it is they're busy with at the crack of dawn.
