02D66: LEGO Documenting

Saturday - LEGOLAND Malaysia Taj Mahal

We are in Malaysia for the weekend again. The drive in wasn't as dire as feared but not one of our fastest runs either. It would have been more prudent to have crossed the border late last night, but at least we all got a decent night's sleep before heading out. Our morning was mostly about eating and keeping the boys entertained. The afternoon initially involved a lot of reading time as we waited for the rain to abate.

And then we went to LEGOLAND Malaysia.

Now it was a bit late by the time we went and we only had some 3 hours and change to explore the park. I was the only first-timer and my nephews were actually in a position to show me around if pressed, but that's just how it is. So I was mainly interested in taking pictures around the park and then seeing if we could squeeze in a few rides before closing. It is mainly a family park after all, so it's not like a lot of the rides are absolute musts at this point. So I now have a mixed-media album of some 400 photos and videos that I'll get to enjoy in my own time. Should we go again in the future, maybe I'll actually ride more than just a slow-moving arcade shooter.

I am spending the rest of the night reading and perhaps processing some O Bar videos. We will be returning to Singapore some time tomorrow, but probably not at the crack of dawn or anything like that. But knowing my nephews, they will still try to wake me up around that time anyway, so I really shouldn't stay up too late if I want to manage a decent amount of sleep.
