02CBA: Wednesday Notes

Wednesday - Radish Kimchi

Still no updates on my Unionbank credit card application. It's starting to look unlikely that I'll get approved in time to qualify for the No Annual Fee promotion. The No Annual Fee promotion has apparently been extended until March 31. I tried navigating their customer service IVR tonight and after two tries, that system tells me the application wasn't approved. I have no idea if that's accurate or not, so we'll just see how that goes. But it would totally be a bummer if that's really the case since the recording also said that I'd have to wait 3 months to apply again.

Let's see if I can talk to an actual person in the morning about all this. Or just apply with another bank if this proves too difficult.

Work is doing...better? Things are certainly shifting around. And despite all that, what I really want to do is write some sort of LinkedIn article on tips for interview candidates. It feels a little preachy and I know it's borne out of my frustration with some of the candidates I've had conversations with. And the many TikTok videos on weird tips for candidates aren't helping because I totally don't agree with a lot of them.

Lastly, Tobie and I went walking around BGC again after dinner to help me complete my steps and to help add to Tobie's physical activity somewhat. The weather is perfect for walking this week as the evening air has a nice chilly edge to it. This isn't quite a regular thing yet, but it does make for a nice change of page. Tobie had given me the option to wear my headphones to I could listen to an audiobook or something, but I'm totally content with us just talking as we wander around BGC. It's always a good time with Tobie.
