02C81: Engine Start

Tuesday - Mushroom Pasta

Welcome to the first official workweek of 2024. I didn't wake up late and had time for a decent yoga flow as my first workout for the year, which is a nice way to start things. I got to test out the new earbuds I had picked up on the flight home from Singapore. This Jabra pair is more expensive than the Bose headphones I purchased last year but ultimately returned due to poor battery life. So I guess you could frame things as me only needing to spend a bit more than before to secure this. But things are promising so far - I'm just weighing if I need to swap out the silicon whatever at the end for a larger one for a better fit.

I really need to subject this headset to a run to really take good measure of things. We'll see if I can manage that tomorrow.

Work was a lot but at least not overwhelming. I think no one is really in the mood to work - this includes many of our clients. So we had stuff to keep moving, but there were no major client complications to deal with throughout the day. My heaviest thing to do for the day was conducting an interview, but at least it was a pretty interesting one.

I hope the rest of the week is still productive but not as hectic on the external front. I think we could all use a bit more time to warm up after the holidays and get back into the groove of things. I know the team is still dealing with some of the backlog when a lot of people were on leave, so a little extra runway would really be appreciated before a proper takeoff.

That's all for now, folks.
