02C62: Big Game Night

Saturday - Agueda: City of Umbrellas

Given our family holiday plans, tonight is pretty much my last really big game night for the year. We'll have other game sessions with other friends here and there, but this is the full FGTC we're talking about. This means 9 players that are typically divided into two groups to play 2 different board games simultaneously then meeting up in the middle to reallocate players to the next batch of games. It's a highlight of every month and we had to schedule this month's session pretty early in order to avoid the usual holiday complications given increased traffic and the random mix of work and family holiday events.

I'm going to be out of town for the holidays, which means the bulk of my gaming while away will primarily be through the likes of Board Game Arena and the occasional official Steam game. My family is bound to acquire a game or two while we're away, but I think actual table time will be limited versus more diverse activities that include the entire family including the younger nephews. As it stands, any in-person gaming is going to be more of the exception rather than the rule and I'll be lucky to get decent reading time in. I'll need to plan my approach to handling the holidays accordingly.

Anyway, on with the gaming. More updates tomorrow, maybe?
