Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 965
As much as this trip has the potential for personal time, it's not quite a vacation either. And it's hard to predict what I'm going to get out of any of these Singapore ventures and adding Tobie into the mix of things hasn't quite changed things. There are things that we've done that I wouldn't have done on my own, sure. but I also can't help but feel a little pressured to add more vacation-type things to our itinerary. It doesn't help that the last three days have been regular work days for us, so that sets a weird tone for things.
We have maybe one thing slotted for the weekend, but that's it so far. We're also probably going to do laundry and maybe consider exploring some of the local bars on Saturday night? I'm not sure if it's a good idea to book something like the ArtScience Museum at the last minute, especially with some of the attractions requiring appointment slots and all that.
What we have gotten a lot of is animal time as mentioned yesterday. And I'll keep saying that it's nice to be able to spend time with pets again. Our days begin and end with the cats and dogs and the rabbit and it makes for a happy little cycle. And we're still responsible for them for a few days, so we also don't want to be out too long - or at the very least we want to make sure that we're back in time to walk them and get them properly fed and all that.
So we'll see what tomorrow brings. It's very likely we'll just stay in the immediate area in the day and then maybe force ourselves out later in the night. We can end up at either an LGBT-friendly bar or maybe we'll just go back to the robot bartender or something.
