02B3B: Big Little Things I'm Fussing Over

Thursday Sinigang

Metro Manila Community Quarantine - Day 803

I'm still tinting my blog photos pink for some reason. I started doing it during the lead-up to the official campaign period to show my support for Leni Robredo and I've just kept going since then. I'm not ashamed to show that I supported her campaign - in fact, Tobie and I have still been using pink face masks when we step out and we still wear our pink ballers (albeit reverse).

I just don't know what this means for this blog - if anything at that. I mean it's not like I have that big of an audience for this personal blog. And I don't want a big audience for this since I write this more for me and not for the full "performance" of things - what characterizes most other blogging efforts (which is by design).

It's not like this blog has a distinct look or "brand" either. I've never been super visual and the template I've been using does keep things pretty simple and clean. So the colors I use for tinting these photos don't really matter all that much. And it's not like people visit the blog main page a lot - most only visit individual blog posts as linked to on social media and other pages. People's viewing behavior is very different now as we're dependent on social media to link us to where we want to go and then we jump right back into our social media gardens and continue to enjoy what comes along in the feed.

And this is such a small thing. Who cares about color right? And each blog post gets 20 page views at best. But it's the same part of my brain that fusses over this as the one that wonders if I should still bother paying for custom domains, should I shift my domains from the legacy Google reseller side and formally move over to Google Domains even if might cost a bit more? It's the little things that don't matter in the greater scheme of things but they still matter to me on some level. You know how it is.

I'll keep things pink for now - or at least until the end of the month. Then maybe I'll do a pride thing in June where I cycle colors or something. Maybe. And I'm undecided about what to do with the blog domain thing
