Today's short Wraith: the Oblivion RPG session had our group riding the Midnight Express to Stygia. We have no idea what awaits us given our characters are only recently deceased spirits and we're still trying to catch up on everything that's going on. And in today's session, we ended with the little twist firmly connecting the worlds of Orpheus to that of Wraith. And it wasn't just a vague reference to something from that story world - we literally had a member of Orpheus make an appearance.
Orpheus was a game story that I really enjoyed. And even if we don't directly get to experience that side of the story again, I'm just excited to have the possibility of facing them again and trying to better understand how the two worlds interconnect. There's still a lot that we need to understand about the whole Wraith experience to start things off. And there's a heck of a lot of unknowns for us in that department.
And while this is only a monthly game and today's session was shorter than most given real-world constraints, but we got a lot done and the story is really going somewhere interesting. It's a great little gaming group and I'm excited to see where things will go from here.
