The weather remains rather confusing this week as the forecasts are all gloom and doom, but the reality isn't so crazy - at least not for the whole day. Case in point: Tobie's classes shifted to a remote setup today since the rains were indeed bad this morning, but things had calmed down by the time I had woken up. I had considered washing a load of laundry, but all the weather apps warned that this was a bad idea, as it had been all week, so I deferred. But it didn't rain for most of the day, and there was even a fair amount of sun after lunch. While it was still generally risky, I'm pretty sure that I still could have run a load before the faint drizzle this evening. And all this is just monsoon activity - there are no reports of active storms in the country.
I'm sorry; whether or not I get to do laundry will always be a recurring discussion in this blog. It's rather important to me. And I just wish the weather would cooperate more, which is a hard thing to hope for, I know.
No crazy big plans for the weekend ahead. Weather permitting, we're expecting friends to come over for board games on Saturday, so that'll be fun. On Sunday, we'll be at the Manila International Book Festival, as Tobie will be signing copies of his book in the afternoon. I haven't gone to the MIBF in a while - I rarely pick up books there, but it's always fun to look. That leaves Friday night pretty open, and we're probably just going to stay home. It certainly makes for a stark contrast to last Friday.
