The weather continues to be CRAZY. The interactions between Typhoon Dolphin, the LPA remnants of Tropical Depression Maymay, and the southwest monsoon have resulted in EVEN MORE RAIN. There have been some moments of more intense winds here and there, which makes things more intimidating. We've had a few power fluctuations but not major interruptions thus far, which is a relief. But it was enough to trip the UPS for Tobie's CPAP in a weird way, and it resulted in some crazy alarms that woke us up too early.
We were supposed to have a friend over for board games, but it seems prudent to reschedule for another day. While we'd just be gaming indoors, I'd feel pretty guilty about making him travel in this weather. He's also close enough for us to just pick him up, but a quick check of traffic in the area reveals unusual road closures (probably due to flooding), so it's just as well we're all staying put for now.
This has made me feel extra guilty about ordering out for food here and there, so we've done our best to time things when the rains don't appear to be as intense. As we've had a pretty late start to the day, I'm only just about to cook our second meal for the day (let's call it dinner for now), then we'll see how we'll spend the rest of this rainy weekend apart from watching the previous Spider-Man movies.
