03034: Mid-Week Cycling

Wednesday - Tahanan Tinola

One of my big deadlines for the weekend got moved to next week, which is ultimately a good thing. I was fairly on track to finish things by tomorrow, but it's always nice to have some extra time. I should have finished things sooner, but last week was not a good week for finishing things for reasons.

I feel the pressure of not having finished a lot of books recently. I'm certainly reading a lot - I'm just not finishing stuff as quickly as I'm supposed to. It's always tricky trying to balance just reading for pleasure but still keeping my annual reading goal in mind. I don't want to read too much crap to catch up, but I may need to make some weird choices soon.

In other distractions, we spent a bit of time playing Magic tonight. I had finished most of my O Bar videos. I'm really enjoying this Doctor Doom deck that I've built, but I'm still trying to make my River Song deck run in a manner that makes her halfway decent. She's fun, but hardly a threat at the table. Or maybe she'll make more sense in a full 4-player pod instead of just 1-on-1. The only frustration is that we're (smartly) constrained to virtual decks since it feels practically insane to invest in physical cards alongside our board game collecting. Still fun, just a bit more fiddly.
