Ghosts is absolutely brilliant. Since we're watching the UK series first, each series (season) is terribly short at 6 episodes, so we're just blitzing through. We're already at the end of the third series with only 2 more to go, so this is going to go by VERY quickly. Maybe we'll start the US adaptation before I fly off to Singapore next week. At the very least, I'm glad that we're exploring the show now.
Work was a bit of a blitz. There were two big meetings today, and the first one managed to leave a lot of us feeling somewhat drained even if it was a fairly short one. But that's just how things are. The amount of effort and energy needed isn't always commensurate with the time it takes. At least there's only one more workday to worry about. And then Monday is a work holiday for Singapore, so that's a bit of a bonus rest day before I fly out on Tuesday.
I've been able to make a bit of a dent in my reading efforts, and my backlog is below 20 books again. The price of this progress is reading some quite terrible titles, thus some new 1- and 2-star reviews in my Goodreads account. But at least I'm catching up.
I don't want to touch the Senate bullshit just now. The headlines feel too ridiculous to be real...and yet everything is exactly as reported. Such madness.
