While I didn't actively participate in Tobie's session with his editor for Diliman Generation Now, it was still a fascinating process to watch. We were all gathered at our hexagonal dining/poker table at the Sietch, so it's not like I couldn't hear what was going on. But going through his comic panel by panel was a very involved process, but an important one. The book is clearly in its final stages, and once these edits are settled, it should be just about ready to be sent to the publisher. It's all very exciting but also somewhat stressful. He's so close!
And we just finished our Pendragon online RPG session, which is a relief since we had to cancel last week. This is our only active campaign game these days since all the others had either completed or had gone into indefinite hiatus. We're still trying to find other players who might be free to game on a regular basis, but we haven't had much luck on that front.
In other news, I finally got to refill the water tank early this morning. The schedule said we wouldn't have water until 5am, but I had kept checking every few hours just in case. Around 04:30, we got lucky, and the water had returned a little early, so I immediately set about refilling the tank and even ran a load of laundry. It took about 30 minutes to refill the tank. It's a good thing I had blitzed all that, as within less than an hour, the water was gone again. And while today's schedule said we wouldn't have water by 09:00pm tonight, the reality is that we haven't had water all day again. And we're not "scheduled" to have water again until 11:00pm tomorrow. The tank has enough water to support the household for a number of days, so we really shouldn't worry. But we'll also have to be very frugal with our water use just in case, since the schedules are never adhered to.
There's a new week ahead, so hopefully things get better sooner. But I'm not holding my breath, as Maynilad has been terrible over the past few months and there's no indication that things are going to get any better. There have been adjustments issued for the last two months to compensate for all the outages, but the amounts feel like a drop in the bucket versus what we pay as a whole.
