The first night back in Manila was pretty chill. To be fair, it's also Holy Week, so it's not like we had places to go to. Most friends are out of town for different non-religous excursions.
I was hoping to play a board game with Tobie after I finished blogging, but figuring out this week's Geeky Guide article took longer than expected. To be fair, I ended up writing a good number of game reviews while trying to finalize the angle of the post, so that's still a good thing for the site overall. But it also meant it was well after midnight (generously speaking) by the time I finished writing everything. Thus, it was more practical for both of us to head to bed and catch up on sleep instead.
Gaming started a lot earlier today since today's guest can't stay too late. And for one reason or another, we started by tackling two brand new games that had arrived at the Sietch this week. The opening game was Black Forest by Uwe Rosenberg, using the same core game system as Glass Road. We followed that up with a lengthy learning game for Earthborne Rangers, and I can already see why so many people are so hyped for this game. Playing new games takes up more time than we'd like, but at least we get to break in these games to make future sessions more efficient.
Tomorrow is rather open-ended since most folks are still busy with other things. We've at least scheduled a massage in the afternoon, so that's something. Then we'll try to visit the kadiwa market for the resupply of fresh produce for the Sietch. I'll probably squeeze in some O Bar video processing somewhere along the way.
