02F28: Scrambled Monday

Monday - Tahanan Nilaga

Despite staying in yesterday to rest, my pre-bedtime reading ended up keeping me up later than planned. What is more frustrating is that it wasn't even for a particularly good book - I just wanted to get to the end in order to clear it from my active queue. This has been a case more often than not as of late - perhaps a side effect of juggling 3 different active titles in my Kindle leisure reading queue. I get a little confused myself about where I am in the different books at times. So, apart from a work-related title (daytime reading only), I'm juggling two rather heavy books (1 personal, 1 for family book club), thus I've been offsetting them with shallow queer romances. Naturally, I'm logging completed queer books while I trudge through the others.

Work was a bit of a struggle. It was the combination of being out on Friday and this being the first week of a new month. That means starting to assemble reports for last month's performance while making sure all the ads for the new month are set up correctly. I cleared most of the more urgent stuff, but I'll still be playing catch-up tomorrow morning. Fun.

Updates for time-place setting:

  • Over the weekend, the MTRCB called Viva to explain why one of their talents spoke negatively of them in public. So they're trying to censor opinions now.
  • The PNP got mad that someone went viral on social media for wearing something like a police uniform as a Halloween costume. They've withdrawn their threats to file charges after the guy made a public apology.
  • Typhoon Tino/Kalmaegis is raging across the Visayas region, but it has also been raining here in Metro Manila since last night. We had a pocket of sunshine around noon, and then that was it.
Lastly, 11.11 is just around the corner, which means I'm already trying to map out possible Christmas gifts, particularly for the O Bar folks, in order to save time. I have some things in mind, but nothing is particularly locked in. I know we need to map out our early orders now in order to be smart about things, but gah decisions! Gift-giving is so hard hahaha
