02E91: Another Sietch Hiccup

Thursday - Tahanan Lunch

So the AC unit in the living room broke down today, which is a major bummer. It's our main means of comfortably working at home, plus it enables our game nights. To be fair, it's an older unit that was already with the house, so maybe it needs proper servicing beyond the cleaning we did a few months ago. Given we'll be busy with Komiket Pride all weekend, the soonest we can have someone look at it is next Tuesday. I hope it's nothing too serious.

At least the wall repair work is mostly done. We're just waiting for the painter, who has also been moved to next week given the busy weekend ahead.

On the work front, I managed to clear most of my reports-related work and a few media plans before taking the day off tomorrow. I still have more work waiting for me on Monday, but I did my best to clear what I could. Normally, I'd try to squeeze in some work over the weekend, but that's not an option given Komiket. I'll find a way to manage things.

Quick TV updates before I wrap this up:

  • Current K-Drama is Reply 1988. WHAT A NOSTALGIA TRIP! The writing is pretty solid, too, but the 80's time-setting is giving all the feels.
  • We're also taking a stab at Dept. Q. The first episode does not sell the show well, but it really starts to come into its own by episode 3. I see what people compared it to Slow Horses, but this is something else entirely.
  • Still working through the fourth season of For All Mankind. Solid as ever.
  • Our lunchtime watching is Cherry Magic!, a rare gay-themed anime series. Nice light watching in the middle of the day.
Lastly, I'm going to dedicate my leisure reading headspace to gay-themed novels for the rest of Pride Month. So for my Goodreads friends, expect a lot of filthy books to appear in your feeds as I get through them one after the other.
