Our Friday night was pretty chill. We stepped out for a massage after an overly heavy dinner and then stayed up rather late. I wanted to work on O Bar videos and Tobie had comic pages to work on, so we made a night of it. We first loaded a movie we figured we could leave on the background and ended up with the Joker sequel. That was...very odd. It totally for as a background movie instead of something that merited our fill attention.
Today is a board game day and it took us about an hour to drive from the new Sietch to our usual gaming venue. At least traffic wasn't too crazy, so the travel wasn't terrible. But there's no denying that we live a lot farther away from our gaming friends than we used to.
We haven't been gaming as much as we used to before the move, so today is very much welcome. And it should help me get back into the tabletop mindset as Tobie should have more room to game on our own now that the Sietch is largely functional. There's still a lot of cleaning and organizing that needs to happen but we'll get to that in time.
Still, it's nice to be with our gaming friends after being so focused on the move and getting to establish a new daily routine. This group gathers once a month, so the drive over is still worth it to be with good friends. And who knows, maybe we'll be able to host game nights at the new Sietch sooner rather than later.
