Our Friday night was pretty wild, as O Bar nights tend to be. Our Saturday thus far has been pretty chill and very domestically focused. This all makes for quite an interesting contrast, especially given how we're taking it easy tonight.
Manza's O Bar birthday show was great, as expected. There was a pretty healthy crowd but not quite as blockbuster as some event nights tend to be. There were a lot of new numbers and I'm super proud of everyone for all the effort needed to pull that off. They truly are such an amazingly talented group of people. Plus we had a good mix of old and new friends at the table, which made for an interesting evening as a whole.
We still don't have any games scheduled for the weekend as we're focused on getting the new Sietch set up. Tobie caught the movers this morning as they needed to pick up the empty boxes. This was a bit of a challenge since we got back from O Bar pretty late (or early?) and so he didn't get to sleep right away. Thus, we only started working on the Sietch in the afternoon after I ran a quick load of laundry to make the most of the afternoon sun. And around the same time, my Lazada deliveries arrived, thus opening up new doors for me.
Tobie focused on storing all of our DVDs, PS3 discs, and music CDs in the lower cabinets that are once again accessible. That took quite a lot of time to process, especially given that stashes of discs had formed all around the house because of the nature of the move. Similarly, I opted to use the newly emptied cabinet to store a lot of our smaller games, so I focused on titles with similar sizes like all of our Fluxx games, our Tiny Epic games, our Oink games, our Allplay games, and our various Asian games.
I also got started on organizing the bathroom and running the water until it came out more-or-less clear given a long period of inactivity. I also organized the little kitchenette now that we have a better plan for things - we'll cook in the kitchen in the main house but we'll still have the smaller kitchen for coffee and the bare minimum needed to entertain guests. I might still entertain something for quick cooking in the future, but it doesn't feel like a priority. Both feel usable enough for now - we just need to give things a proper clean to really round things out.
And finally, I got to organize our socks and underwear using the new plastic drawers that had arrived via Lazada. The drawers fit perfectly and just need some rubber stops to hold them in place. We could achieve the same effect with cabinet lining material and we're due to get some at SM tomorrow. The new Orbi mesh system also arrived, and I'm kinda chomping at the bit to get that set up as well.
Beyond that, it's going to be a quiet evening and we've just scheduled a massage at a nearby spa as a bit of a reward after all of our efforts this week. I also want to work on more O Bar material given the queue is starting to feel a little heavy, but we'll see how the night goes.
