Work was still a lot, but I choose not to go into detail when I blog about it. I just acknowledge what it is and move forward. In the end, it's also just work and it shouldn't be too big of a focus in one's life.
I've officially paid Dad's Movers today and filed the work permit with the condo admin so that they can pack up the rest of the Sietch on Thursday. So I guess this is really it - the move is truly going to happen. We're still pending the exit clearance from the landlord (and it's annoying me that the broker is moving faster on this given the timing), but it won't be long now. As long as everything gets cleared, we should have all of our stuff moved to the South in time for the weekend.
In other news, I've gone back to reading the Reacher books after my journey through Christmas-related LGBT titles. It's a different kind of entertainment but definitely, a lot more intellectually fulfilling at the same time. I still have a queer title in circulation, but it's also a heavier story so it's taking me longer to work my way through it.
My business-related book is quite the trudge - a holdout from my 2024 reading. As much as these titles are a bit more concept-heavy or whatever, The Performance Paradox is proving to be a lot harder for me to process. It's not that it's overly complicated or something - I guess it's more that I'm not buying into how they're selling the main idea and it's making it less and less interesting to read. But I don't feel right about abandoning it outright, so I'll just need to suck it up and barrel through it.
Beyond that, it feels like we're in between shows. Nothing is particularly exciting at the moment, so we're just watching whatever. We haven't even been able to start a new K-Drama just yet because things have been so busy. I guess we'll be back to normal by next week or something. Or maybe it just reflects none of the current shows are of particular interest.
