I'm glad that we still managed to have a game night last night despite the increasing complications caused by the holiday traffic situation. We didn't have all the players we hoped to have, but it was still a good night. It made for a good venue to explore new games together, so we learned how to play Hamlet: The Village Building Game, and we had our first physical session for Next Station: London, which is a BGA staple for me. Then we wrapped things up with Monkey Palace, because we finally have our own copy.
Speaking of new games, a bunch of them arrived all this week. Apart from Hamlet and the Lego game, we also got our copies of Aang's Destiny and the rather massive Thorgal. I kind of went all-in for those pledges during their crowdfunding campaigns, so I have a LOT of content and the expansion for Hamlet - Hamlet by the Lake. We won't have a lot of time to play through these different games given the holidays, but at least we have a lot of fun stuff to start 2025 with.
I'm wrapping this blog post up here given we have the O Bar anniversary to look forward to tonight. I managed to complete my daily postings for 19 of my favorite O Bar performances over the years, which was a lot of fun to do. I also curated an album of nearly 300 photos featuring the first appearances of different O Bar performers, staff, and celebrity guests and got to share that today. I might try one last video push to clear my queue a bit more before I take even more videos tonight for O Bar's anniversary event.
